Forked Up is operated by Forked Up LLC. We currently offer the service only to users located in the United States.

Who Can Use Forked Up

Forked Up is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to use our services.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will investigate and, if appropriate, delete the information.

Depending on how you use Forked Up, we may collect:

• Account and authentication data, including one-time passcode login records and session identifiers.
• Location information you choose to share, including precise foreground device location used to show nearby restaurants.
• Profile and preference information, including dietary restrictions, saved items, favorites, bookmarks, ratings, and other in-app activity.
• Waitlist information, including your email address and optional ZIP code.
• Device, usage, analytics, and diagnostic information such as app events, screens viewed, performance data, and error reports.
• Chat and AI feature data, including prompts, response text, and related metadata when you use conversational search or AI-assisted experiences.
• Information you provide when contacting us for support or privacy requests.

• Directly from you when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Automatically when you use the website or app, including through cookies, similar technologies, analytics, and error-monitoring tools.
• From service providers that help us authenticate users, send SMS codes, deliver transactional launch emails, host the service, and monitor performance.

How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve Forked Up.
• Authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
• Send login codes, service notices, and transactional launch updates.
• Personalize search results, recommendations, rankings, and app experiences based on your location, taste, and activity.
• Operate analytics, feature flags, debugging, fraud prevention, and system monitoring.
• Develop and operate AI-assisted features, including conversational search and generated dish visuals.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers and contractors that process data on our behalf, including Supabase, Twilio, Loops, PostHog, Sentry, Cloudflare, Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter.

These providers help us with:

• Authentication and backend infrastructure.
• SMS verification and transactional messaging.
• Waitlist and launch email delivery.
• Analytics, feature flags, and product measurement.
• Error reporting, performance monitoring, and session replay.
• Security, CDN, hosting, and infrastructure protection.

If you grant location permission in the mobile app, we collect precise foreground location to help you discover nearby restaurants and power map and recommendation features.

We use analytics and monitoring tools to understand usage, diagnose errors, improve performance, and roll out features. We also use AI providers to support product experiences such as conversational search and AI-generated dish imagery.

When you use AI-powered features, prompts, responses, and related operational metadata may be processed by us and our AI service providers to provide, maintain, and improve those features.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate the business, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security and backup systems.

Waitlist information may be retained until launch communications are complete, you ask us to delete it, or we determine it is no longer needed. Some logs, diagnostics, and backups may persist for a limited period after deletion requests.

Your Choices and Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected].

Until our in-product account deletion tool is available, deletion requests should be sent by email. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

US-Only Service

Forked Up is currently intended for users in the United States. If you use the service from another country, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and may also provide additional notice through the website, app, or email when appropriate.
